Recently, I had an opportunity to perform at a concert at Kiwanis Club Nishinomiya, an international volunteer organization.
I was warmly welcomed by everyone and in a friendly atmosphere, I performed Bach's Cello Suite, Schubert's Ave Maria, Saint-Saens's The Swan, and other masterpieces of classical music.
The Kiwanis Club Nishinomiya donated some contents of the charity box collected on that day to my Wishing for Peace project.
I am very grateful to them.
The donated funds, along with the proceeds from the April 23rd charity concert, will be transferred to the UNHCR Association, the UN's refugee assistance center, this week.
I will report back to you after the transfer.
At the Kiwanis Club Nishinomiya concert, there was a nice bouquet presentation ceremony at the end. We took a commemorative photo with the pianist, who did a great job of presenting the bouquets.
It was a happy moment for me.
